3 Months Old

I know this is just four of the same style of picture, but I could not pick just one pose. He truly is such a happy little guy. It is pretty rare that he cries for no reason and usually if he gets fussy while on his floor gym or in his bouncy seat it is only because he is lonely. The moment you sit down and talk to him he is all smiles again.

He discovered he had hands this month and he is starting to grab for the toys on his floor gym and bouncy seat. He is also becoming ticklish. It is pretty easy to get him to smile or even laugh if you tickle his belly. He loves to "talk" back and forth with you. Jack is really starting to watch Gretchen. If she is playing near by he always turns his head to see what big sister is up too.

He is turning into a champion sleeper at night from 8-8 most nights. He does nap but we have not developed any sort of pattern yet. He usually only naps for a half an hour at a time and does it several times a day. We are hoping his naps start to lengthen this month and become more predictable.

Professional photos

I think this is my favorite one of Jack. Can you believe he is going to be three months old on Thursday?

Gretchen's special afternoon

We took Gretchen to see a special showing of the Wizard of Oz. She loved it. I was afraid she might be scared of the witch, but she did not even blink. The funniest part of the afternoon was when they say "Lions and Tiger and Bears, Oh My." Gretchen yelled out "and Bamboons (Baboons)." Nathan and I busted a gut. It was wonderful to be able to have both of us lavish her with attention (and ice cream) for an afternoon. A big thanks to Ed and Kay for watching Jack for us.

The quest for the perfect picture

I have been trying to get a toddler and a newborn to work together and give there mother a perfect photo, so far no luck. I know I am nuts but that will not stop me!

Here we have our ballerina and Kermit!

Halloween 2010

Jack out grew his peapod costume! We took a picture of him in it a month ago which I posted at the bottom of this post. So we improvised with an old coat of Gretchen and he was a puppy.

pre-preschool, baptism outfit and a few more pics

Loading up for G's first day at the Pintos Play Group. It is a playgroup at Downers Grove South High School where G is paired with two high school students for and hour and a half of play.

Jack's Baptism outfit, we had to order a 9 month size!

Pumpkin Carving Party

Before we went to the party we stopped by Jim and Sandy's to show off our costumes.
G and her buddies Annabell and Owen

G helped clean the pumpkin for three minutes then she was done and it was up to me to clean and carve the pumpkin.

Kendra and I hard at work.

Two months old

Jack had his two month check up today. He weighs 15lbs 5 oz and is 25 inches long. Those numbers put him in the 97% for both height and weight. As the pictures of him show he is a happy little guy. His favorite thing to do is sit in the boppy pillow and "talk" to us. He also enjoys ceiling fans and watching us make silly faces at him. He is only waking once at night to feed now, which makes Mommy incredibly happy. We have not developed a nap schedule yet, but we have high hopes one will start to emerge this month. Gretchen is still being a fantastic big sister. She constantly says "baby man I love you so much!" and then she plants a big kiss on him.
