One week old

Best Big Sister

The birthday cake and banner Gretchen and my mom made for Jack.

One of many pictures G has asked us to take of her and Jack.

Gretchen (with the help of my mom) made Jack a birthday cake and a welcome home banner. When we came home she could not wait to sing him happy birthday. She is the best big sister. She has shown no resentment towards him. She only wants to hold him, kiss him, and take pictures with him. One funny thing though she is scared of his umbilical cord. She started screaming when she saw it and yelled "There is a bug on Jack!"

Navy Pier

We went tourist this past weekend at Navy Pier, it was a great day.

The smoke after they did a huge explosion while filming Transformers 3, we just missed the actual stunt.

Dancing

I swear Gretchen's battery is like one of those Swiss time pieces that the more she moves the more energy she produces.

Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great time this past weekend at Sara and Shawn's place. We stopped half way through our drive for a picnic.
We spent plenty of time in the pool at the hotel as well.

We went blackberry picking, which was great fun. I now have over 2lbs of blackberries in my refrigerator.

Gretchen sampled a few of the berries, you know just to check for ripeness.

Shawn hard at work for the fireworks display.

This might be my favorite picture of G with Dan and Barb.
