3 Month photo

Here is our unofficial three month photo. We go to the photographer tomorrow, for the official one.

What a difference a few days makes with tummy time. She is lifting her head like a champ and starting to enjoy herself, sometimes.

Here are a few shots of Gretchen playing in the grass for the first time. She really enjoyed herself.

Tummy Time and Laughter

Here are a few pictures of us doing tummy time. She is not the biggest fan. She usually just lays there and sucks on her hand as you can see in the second photo.

Last night Gretchen had her first real laugh! She has been cooing and making little giggles for quite some time, but last night was wonderful. Nathan set her in her crib about 8 pm, she was wide awake and happy as a clam. He was talking to her and said “I am going to Milwaukee tomorrow.” She got the biggest grin and cracked up. He said Milwaukee again and she did the same thing. Of course the two of us started saying Milwaukee as many time as we could and she just went nuts with laughter. After about three or four minutes I ran to grab the video camera to capture this and the moment I turned the camera on, she stopped laughing. The real kickers is the moment I turned it off she started laughing again. (What a sense of timing.)

A new buddy

Here is Gretcen with her newest buddy Annabell.

We finally found a hat she will wear without crying!

She was not happy with this photo session on Father's Day.

Nathan and I thought this shot was very artistic with the light.

I know I am biased as can be, but sometimes I look over at her and I just think to myself she is the cutest baby ever. I was thinking that when I snapped this shot.

Daddy takes silly pictures

As I mentioned before, we love our fingers.

She is very serious about fingers.

Peace!

How is Gretchen?

Gretchen will be 11 weeks old on Wednesday and she is doing wonderful. At her 2 month check up she weighed 13 lbs 3 oz and was 23 & ¾ inches long. Those measurements put her in the 90th percentile for height and weight. She is making some strides with holding her head up, although we are not there yet.

As far has her personality it is starting to develop, she seems to be a morning person. We are greeted with big smiles and lots of cooing first thing in the morning. For the most part she only fusses when she is hungry or if she is overtired. She has discovered ceiling fans and her fingers in a big way in the last few weeks. She loves the ceiling fan in our bed room and smiles at it everyday. Although she has been putting her hands in her mouth for weeks now, in the last few days she has discovered each hand has five little appendages. We now see her playing with her fingers. Unfortunately she sometimes puts them in her mouth and chokes herself. She also loves bath time, being read too, and having Nathan and I talk too her.

Enough talk, lets see some pictures:

She likes her sunglasses, although they will not stay on. She hates hats. I think it is because they are all still too big on her. If you look close I stuffed this one with toilet paper. She still cried.
