Elbow

We have a set of Sesame Street books that Gretchen has really gotten into since moving to the apartment. Nathan’s college buddy Jen bought her another Elmo book, which we read multiple times a day. She has decided she loves Elmo, except she calls him “Elbow.” She is very good with her body parts and knows where her actual elbow is. I was trying to help her with the difference I pointed to Elmo and said “Elmo” and then to my elbow and said “elbow.” She looked at me smiled pointed to her elbow and said “elbow” then pointed at the picture of Elmo and said “Elbow.” It is just too cute.

She has also learned how to not only turn on the TV, but change channels and find the cartoons on PBS. So when she flipped it on and actually saw “Elbow” on TV she went crazy. She was screaming “Elbow, Elbow!!!”

College Roomate Reunion

A little then and now shot. Donna, Jenny and I got together with our little girls last week. This is the first time that the three of us have gotten together since college, it was fun.

Gretchen decided her shorts were a hat the other day. She carried those shorts around with her almost all day, crazy baby.

Dinning Room Set

I found a dinning room table, six chairs, and a rolling buffet at an estate sale warehouse for a great deal. I got everything for what stores are asking for just the table. The set is Drexel Heritage which is a good furniture maker.

Our New House!

We are thrilled that we got the house we wanted, in a community we love. We can not wait to move in. The closing is set for August 28th. Party at my house August 29th!

Matt and Ali's Wedding

Nathan and I did not hang out much at Matt and Ali's wedding. Gretchen woke up at 4:30 am! So she was more than ready for bed by her usual 7pm bed time. We took turns listening to the baby monitor all evening. Here we are catching a quick picture before Nathan headed back down to the party.

Moving and Turning 15 Months

I guess there is some upside to having to pack everything up. Gretchen has lots of great boxes to play with.

We had Gretchen's 15 month check-up today. She weighs 24lbs and 11oz, which puts her in the 75th percentile. The real news is she is 33 1/4 inches! This puts her off the chart for height, so I guess that means she is the tallest 15 month old ever. Doc said she is as tall as the average 23 month old.
