I just got a Nikon D5000 last night and I love it!!! A part of me feels a little sick spending so much money on a camera. With that being said I have wanted one for years and I am a picture nut. Besides this blog I make extensive online scrap books and I am always taking pictures of my kids. So with that being said, I love my camera. Happy early Mother's Day, Anniversary and Birthday to me! Look at this photo you can see the drops of water on my Hyacinthe.

I think it's so awesome that you're enjoying your new camera! SLRs are a bit pricey, but you'll have it for a long time, and once you start using it you don't ever want to go back! I think they're totally worth it.
